Document requirements

Senegal

Here’s what we need to verify your business in Senegal. Have these documents ready before you sign up and onboarding takes less than 15 minutes.

Checklist

  • Business registration document (document officiel d’enregistrement)

  • Statutes (statuts constitutifs), if shareholders aren’t listed on your registration document

  • ID for your legal representatives and main shareholders

  • Proof of business address (preuve d’adresse commerciale)

If your business operates in a regulated sector (for example financial services, money transfer, transport or healthcare), we’ll also need a copy of your licence or operating permit. Not sure if this applies to you? Just ask us.

1. Business registration document

Accepted documents by company type:

Company type

Accepted document

SA, SARL, SARLU, SAS

RCCM or NINEA

Association or NGO

Récépissé de déclaration (Ministère de l’Intérieur), the receipt of your association’s declaration

Entreprise Individuelle (sole trader)

The document must be valid, issued by an official government authority, and clearly show:

  • Your company’s registered name, and trading name if different

  • Your company number (RCCM or NINEA number)

  • Your registered business address

  • The full name of your legal representative

  • A description of your business activity

2. Statutes (statuts constitutifs)

Only needed if your registration document doesn’t list your shareholders and their ownership percentage. The statutes must show the full name of each shareholder and the percentage each one holds.

Associations and NGOs always need to provide their statutes together with the récépissé de déclaration.

3. ID documents

Legal representatives

We need a valid ID for anyone with the power to legally represent the company. This is usually the managing director (Directeur Général), but it can also be anyone formally granted signing authority or power of attorney. You’ll find who qualifies in your registration document, statutes or any delegation of authority.

Shareholders

We need an ID for each shareholder who owns 25% or more of the company. After reviewing your file, our compliance team may ask for IDs of additional shareholders.

Accepted IDs

  • Passport (passeport)

  • National ID card (CNI)

  • Driver’s license (permis de conduire)

Every ID must be valid and not expired.

Shareholders under 18 don’t need to provide an ID, but we’ll ask for a birth certificate (acte de naissance) to confirm their date of birth.

4. Proof of business address

The document must be less than 6 months old (lease agreements are accepted regardless of date).

  • Utility bill: electricity, water, phone or internet (SENELEC, SDE…)
